Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Find answers to the most common questions about Qr Max Maker.
What is a QR Code?
A QR (Quick Response) Code is like an advanced barcode. It's a square with black and white dots that can store digital information (such as web links, text, contact data, WiFi details, etc.). You can use your smartphone's camera or a scanning app to quickly and easily read the information it contains, without typing anything.
How does Qr Max Maker work?
It's easy! Follow these steps:
- Choose the type of information you want to encode (URL, Text, WiFi, vCard, PDF, Event, etc.) using the cards on the main page.
- Fill in the corresponding fields that will appear below.
- (Optional) Customize the QR code's color or add your logo by uploading an image.
- You will see a preview of the generated QR code on the right.
- Click "Download PNG" to get your static QR code for free.
- If you are registered, you can click "Save as Dynamic" to create an editable QR. Pro Plan users also get scan statistics and higher limits.
What is a Static vs. Dynamic QR Code?
The main difference is flexibility:
- Static: The information (URL, text, etc.) is encoded directly into the QR pattern. Once created, you cannot change where it points or what information it contains without generating a completely new QR code. They are ideal for information that doesn't change. They are free on Qr Max Maker.
- Dynamic: The QR code contains a unique short URL from our system. When someone scans the QR, that short URL tells us what content to display (your actual URL, PDF data, vCard details, etc.). The great advantage is that you can edit the final content at any time from your admin panel **without having to change or reprint the physical QR code**. Registered users have access to this feature (with limits on the free plan), and the Pro Plan offers more dynamic QRs and scan statistics.
What are Dynamic Forms?
They are an advanced feature for registered users. They allow you to:
- Create custom forms (contact, registration, survey, etc.) by defining your own fields.
- Generate a unique QR code that links directly to that form.
- When a user scans the QR and submits the form, the responses are automatically sent to your specified email address.
- You can edit the form structure and recipient email after creating it.
- The Pro Plan allows you to see how many times the QR leading to your form has been scanned and enjoy higher limits.
What does "Edit" a Dynamic QR or Form mean?
Editing allows you to modify certain aspects after the element has been created:
- For Dynamic QRs: You can change the destination information (the URL it redirects to, vCard/Event/WiFi details, the PDF file, etc.). You can also update the internal title, QR color, and add/change/remove the logo. Importantly, the QR image you shared doesn't change, but what happens when it's scanned does.
- For Dynamic Forms: You can change the email where you receive responses, the title users see, and most importantly, you can modify the form fields. You can also change the color and logo of the QR associated with the form, and the form page's logo.
What is Scan Counting? (Pro Plan)
For each Dynamic QR and Dynamic Form (on the Pro Plan), our system records how many times its unique short URL has been accessed. This number gives you an idea of the popularity or usage of your QR codes.
You can see this counter in the "My Dynamic QRs" and "My Forms" tables in your admin panel.
Important: Scan counting is not available for direct WiFi QRs, as these connect directly to the network.
Can I add my logo to any QR code?
Yes! Technically, you can try adding your logo from the main page to any type of QR you are creating.
However, it's important to know that adding a logo requires using a higher level of error correction in the QR. This reduces the available space for storing the main information (URL, text, vCard/Event data, etc.).
For static QRs with a lot of information (like detailed Events, vCards, or PDFs with very long filenames if a placeholder were used), the combination of data + logo might exceed the QR's capacity, showing a "Too much data..." error. The solution is to use Dynamic QRs, which store a short URL, leaving plenty of space for a logo.
What if I use accents or special characters in my QRs?
You can use them! Our system correctly handles special characters like accents and others (UTF-8 encoding).
Just note that in static QRs, these characters take up slightly more space. If you have a lot of text with many special characters in a static QR, you might hit the data limit инфекции. Dynamic QRs avoid this issue.
Is it safe to use Qr Max Maker?
We take your privacy and security seriously.
- Static QRs (those you download directly without saving as dynamic) are generated 100% in your browser. The data you enter is not sent to our servers.
- For Dynamic QRs and Forms, we need to store your information in our database for them to work. We use standard security practices to protect that data.
- We do not share your personal information with unnecessary third parties.
- For more details, please see our Privacy Notice.
Do I need an account? Is it free?
You can generate and download unlimited Static QR codes completely free of charge and without needing to register.
To use advanced features like Dynamic QRs (editable, with scan counting) or Dynamic Forms, you need to register for a free account. The free plan includes limits for these advanced features. Our Pro Plan offers greater capacities and additional features like scan statistics.
